We were featured in the Australian Financial Review in an article exploring the rapidly evolving role of artificial intelligence in investment management and vibe-coded investing strategies. The piece examines how AI is transforming equity research and portfolio management, with our firm highlighted as an example of AI integration in global equities fund management.
As a global equities fund with just two human employees, we've developed an approach to equity research by deploying nearly 30 AI agents across our investment and operations teams. Each agent has a dedicated specialist role, from macro strategy to financial analysis. Thomas Rice explained our approach:
"They all have a dedicated focus where they autonomously ingest information. It is like having a real team, where my and Armina's role as portfolio managers is to take the output of their research and work out, 'Is this giving me everything I need? Are there other things I need to follow up on?'"
Rice also offered perspective on evaluating AI-driven investment performance, noting the challenge of distinguishing genuine skill from market luck. The article positions our work within the broader context of vibe coding and AI funds reshaping investment strategies among Australian fund managers and retail investors alike.
